Intermediate Judging Placements Offered at WA Region Championships

In 2022, Gymnastics WA have started delivering Region Championship events, beginning with the Go for 2&5 Gascoyne Region Championships on April 28 in Exmouth and the Go for 2&5 South West Region Championships on June 18 in Bunbury.

Both of these events had over 70 participants from the Gascoyne, Pilbara, South West and Great Southern Regions, enabling them to compete and receive feedback from judges prior to the 2022 Go for 2&5 WA Regional Gymnastics Championships in Perth.

For the Gascoyne event in particular, Gymnastics WA recognised the importance of offering regional judging placements to intermediate judges who may not have been able to take on similar roles in the past. Seeing the team work together and ensure the entire panel of judges had clear direction and confidence in their ability was truly wonderful to watch and we look forward to seeing more intermediate judge flourish in these roles again.

We would like to thank our team of judges for both events who gave their time to travel and attend the events and provide an encouraging and positive environment for regional athletes, their parents and their coaches, most of whom were experiencing a Gymnastics WA event for the first time.
