
Gym Warriors Coaches
We are expanding our pool of part-time and casual Gym Warriors Coaches for 2023 to deliver the Gym Warriors program throughout metro and regional WA at schools, community events, clubs and early childcare centres.
The Gym Warriors Coach’s role plays a key part in increasing Gymnastics WA’s exposure through participation activities in the wider WA community. The role requires an enthusiastic, engaging person or Warrior who will champion recreational gymnastics in the community, working with children and young people to increase participation in gymnastics through fundamental movement. If you are passionate about gymnastics and want to release your inner warrior by delivering programs to children then we want to hear from you!
Gymnastics WA is the peak body for the sport of gymnastics in Western Australia. It provides the opportunity for anyone interested in fun, fundamental movement, fitness and friendships to participate in gymnastic programs, competitions, development programs and activities which are accessible to all, no matter their experience, skill, age or ability level. Pathways are also provided for individuals who strive for intrastate, state, or the ultimate, national selection representing Australia at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and other international events.
Position requirements include (but are not limited to):
• Gymnastics Australia Intermediate Coaching Accreditation, Gymnastics for All is desirable.
• Gymnastics Australia Beginner Coaching Accreditation applicants are encouraged to also apply
• Experience in delivering recreational gymnastics programs to a high volume of students
• Experience coaching a range of age groups with varying skills, abilities, and backgrounds
• Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clubs, schools, and stakeholders
• Ability to think on your feet and work in adapting environments
• Fantastic verbal and communications skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• All round fun, engaging, and enthusiastic Gymnastics Warrior
• Available to work school hours (8.30 am – 3.30 pm) and some weekend events
• Current Working with Children Card
