The position of Business Administration Trainee is now available with the Gymnastics WA team located in Leederville.

The Business Administration Trainee will work across all aspects of the business; including event coordination, education administration, and club & member services. This Trainee position will play a supporting role in the day-to-day operations of Gymnastics WA as the peak body for the sport. Key functions of the role including supporting club and member services in responses to club queries; assisting in event delivery and other administrative support, as required.

Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Assist in responding to member and club queries
  • Assist with the delivery of Club Development workshops and forums for Member Clubs
  • Assist in the delivery of the key Gymnastics WA events and logistics
  • Assist in data entry and event registration processes
  • Assist in administrative services for education courses, workshops
  • Support enquiries in regards to coaching, judging courses and education calendar
  • Appropriate recording of documentation, as required

Sport and Recreation Trainee

The position of Sport and Recreation Trainee is now available with the Gymnastics WA team located in Leederville.

The Gym Warriors Trainee plays a supporting role in increasing Gymnastics WA’s exposure through participation activities in clubs and schools.  The role requires an enthusiastic, engaging person who will champion gymnastics in schools, working with children and young people within establish gymnastics clubs but also capable of planning and facilitating workshops, courses, camps and events.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Program Delivery
    • Assist with the promotion, development and delivery of key participation programs namely; Gymnastics for All.
      which includes TeamGym, FreeG, Fitter for Life, KinderGym and Gym Warriors
    • Assist in the coordination and delivery KIDDO and Gym Warriors programs at various locations as required
    • Assist with the delivery of participation training courses and professional development for coaches and teachers
    • Support the administrative requirements for the Gym Warriors Program; including booking schools, venues and answering enquiries


Community Events and Projects  

  • Assist with the efficient and effective coordination of community events including; planning, preparation, logistics, delivery and evaluation
    meetings
  • Attendance at internal meetings as required, including: Staff Meetings, Team Meetings, Strategic and Operational Planning Days
  • Answer phone enquires on the Gymnastics WA main phone line
  • Supporting other areas and departments, as required
  • Any other duties within the employee’s capabilities and which is fair and reasonable to expect the employee to undertake as directed by the Executive Project Officer or the Chief Executive Officer from time to time
  • Ensure compliance with Gymnastics WA policies, guidelines and procedures

Infinity Gym Sports (located in Mandurah, WA) is seeking an experienced Gymnastics Coach to join our WAG team. The ideal candidate will have a Advanced or Intermediate coach qualification. We are passionate about Competitive Gymnastics, Recreational Gymnastics, Kindy Gym, Ninja Parkour and more!

Events and Education Coordinator

An exciting opportunity is available at Gymnastics WA for a full-time Events and Education Coordinator to join our team in Leederville. 

Gymnastics Western Australia is the peak body for the sport of gymnastics in Western Australia. We provide the opportunity for anyone interested in fun, fundamental movement, fitness and friendships to participate in gymnastic programs, competitions, development programs and activities which are accessible to all, no matter their experience, skill, age or ability level.

This is an exciting role on our Events team in a fast paced environment, reporting to our Events & Technical Manager.

To be considered for this role you would need to have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and have an understanding of education courses.


You will also need to demonstrate
:

  • Proven Customer Service experience and communication skills
  • The ability to deliver events, initiatives and/or projects
  • An understanding of preparing and reporting to budgets
  • Drive, passion and initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A passion for volunteers and an understanding of the culture of a volunteer based organisation
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Working with Children Card
  • National Police Clearance


You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of Gymnastics WA events, education courses and workshops contributing to driving gymnastics initiatives which link to the Gymnastics WA Strategic Plan.


This will include, but will not be limited to
:

  • Annual review of event structures, policies, manuals, processes and forms
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with volunteers, clubs and external organisations in relation to the engagement and retention of volunteers
  • Compiling articles for the Gymnastics WA website, social media and other communication channels
  • Maintaining and updating the Gymnastics WA event website calendar and results page
  • The position is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. However, a flexible approach to working hours is required, due to the nature of working within a state sports association. The nature of the position requires some out of hours and weekend work, which is recognised in the remuneration package offered.
