TeamGym Education Blockbuster

For those of you who aren’t aware, TeamGym is a really exciting Gymnastics for All program that champions engagement through team-based initiatives on 3 different apparatus. TeamGym is a hugely successful initiative in the UK and Europe with steady growth being seen in the USA.

One of the best parts about TeamGym is the fact that you are performing on apparatus together – one gains a strong sense of comradery and enthused support from team mates whilst performing choreographed pieces. This event is engulfed in true team spirit with a friendly atmosphere, surrounded by a captivated and loudly cheering audience.

TeamGym competitions display gymnastics skills in three different disciplines; Floor, Tumbling and Single Mini Tramp. TeamGym demonstrated effective teamwork, good technique in elements and spectacular acrobatic skills.

Floor: Performed on a full floor and to music. The point emphasised here is on smooth teamwork with expressive presentation.

Tumbling: Again, also performed to music, teams perform a series of intense displays along an air-track.

Single Mini Tramp: Also performed to music, each team performs 4 different passes – 2 single runs and 2 synchronised runs.
