Club Person of the Month – Kiri Penter

You may have heard of Kiri before. In her past earlier life she was an elite Acro athlete and even medalled at Australian Championships. Fast forward to the present, Kiri is still competing in Acro for Spirit Gymsports, holds the position of Coaching Director at Roleystone Gymnastics Club (RGC) and volunteers on the Gymnastics WA GfA Committee. Kiri also coaches 4 classes herself and manages a team of 13 coaches.

Kiri took on the role as Coaching Director in 2017, what drew her to the role was that Kiri wanted to recreate the experiences she had as an athlete. Not only has Kiri had a hand in uplifting the culture of RGC, alongside a very supportive and proactive committee but the club itself was the first ever award winner of the Gymnastics WA Club Excellence Award and a finalist in the RAC Sports Star Community Club Award. The clubs #morethangymnastics has been a core value which is showcased on every club jacket, hoodie and shirt, there is no mistaken what RGC value at their club.

Gymnastics WA would like to acknowledge all of Kiri’s achievements and service she has given to Roleystone Gymnastics Club.
